After breakfast you will take a bicycle and cycle to the nearby Hells Gate Park where you explore on foot this Gorge as you spot small game and birds.
Later drive to Lake NakuruNational park.Due to some progressive natural factors like increasing water levels , the flamingo numbers have been reducing but the park itself remains stunning – one of Kenya’s finest. Great rocky escarpments tower over acacia forest, waterfalls, wooded hills and euphorbia trees dot the lake.
The few quantity of flamingos is accompanied by other birdlife – pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks as well as herons and eagles. The scene here is bountiful, busy and full of color.
But that’s only the beginning of what this special park has to offer because the wildlife viewing here is easy and accessible. Lake Nakuru is known for hosting some endangered but beautiful species. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s Giraffe along with white rhino, especially along the lake shore. After breakfast at your lodge/camp, your driver guide will assist you with the checkout process and proceed to Nairobi at your hotel ortransfer to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your flight back home.
On the way, your guide will point out the Longonot extinct volcano which is a strato volcano located southeast of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya. It is thought to have last erupted in the 1860s and its name is derived from the Maasai word Oloonong’ot, meaning “mountains of many spurs” or “steep ridges “.
